Jackrabbit volleyball looks to avenge an earlier-season five-set loss Thursday night when it hosts Oral Roberts at Frost Arena.

SERIES HISTORY
Oral Roberts holds an 18-7 all-time lead in the SDSU-ORU series and won the meeting from earlier this season in five sets.
The Jackrabbits won sets two and three of the previous match and fell 15-11 in game five. Crystal Burk had 18 kills and 10 digs for the Jacks and Chloe Stitt and Sydney Andrews added 15 and 13 kills, respectively. Andrews hit .458 in the contest and had four blocks.

Carly Wedel dished out 38 assists and Tatum Pickar tallied 12 digs. ORU's Sakira LaCour and Aiza vigil had 12 kills each. LaCour hit .571 for the Golden Eagles.

THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Oral Roberts is 14-5 on the season and 8-2 in conference action with its only Summit losses coming from Omaha and Kansas City. The Golden Eagles have won four straight contests.

Sakira LaCour ranks fourth in the Summit in hitting percentage. She has 173 total kills this season with a .370 attack rate. Aixa Vigil's 2.95 kills per set is a team high. Four Golden Eagles rank in the top 15 in the Summit League in kills per set, led by Vigil's No. 8 rank.

ORU setter Bryanna Soares ranks fourth in the Summit League at 9.74 kills per set. She also has 48 kills on the season, averaging .73 per set.

Defensively, the Golden Eagles at led by LaCour at the net. She has 90 blocks on the season, 1.32 per set, which tops the Summit League. Jaxie Wakley sits 10th in the League with .99 blocks per set. Sarah Thiessen ranks third in the Summit League with 4.46 digs per set to lead the ORU back row.

THE JACKRABBITS
Jackrabbit volleyball is 12-9 on the year and 4-6 in Summit Legue competition. SDSU has dropped the last three contests and most recently fell 3-1 to South Dakota. The Jacks' last win was October 12 over North Dakota State.

Crystal Burk's 3.77 kills per set paces the Jackrabbit squad and ranks second in the Summit League. Chloe Stitt chips in 2.93 kills per set, ranking ninth. Sydney Andrews attacks at a .299 rate, which is seventh in the League.

Carly Wedel averages 9.74 assists per set for the Jackrabbits. That number ranks fifth among the Summit. Jasmine Weidemann has handled the setting for SDSU lately and gives out 9.12 helpers on average.

SDSU's defense is paced by Tatum Pickar's 3.96 digs per set, which is sixth on the League list. Burk adds 2.42 digs per set and Faith Saewert averages 2.22 digs. Ella Thompson is the Jackrabbits' top blocker. She has 1.00 rejection per set on average.

LAST TIME OUT
South Dakota State hosted South Dakota Friday night at Frost Arena and fell 3-1 (14-25, 25-14, 15-25, 22-25) to the Coyotes.

Crystal Burk registered a double-double, her 10th of the season, notching 17 kills to go with 12 digs. Stitt was just behind with 16 kills and had nine digs. The pair were also the most efficient Jackrabbits with Burk hitting at a .325 clip and Stitt just behind at .316.

Tatum Pickar had 17 digs and Ella Thompson took part in four blocks, both team highs.

Jasmine Weidemann tallied 37 assists and an ace serve. Stitt and Pickar added two assist apiece.

MILESTONE WATCH
A pair of Jackrabbits are on track to reach significant career milestones in the near future. Carly Wedel sits at 1,483 career assists and will likely reach 1,500 the next time she plays. Crystal Burk has 900 career kills and could reach the 1,000-kill mark yet this season.
