MEN'S GOLF 12TH AFTER OPENING DAY IN OREGON

EUGENE, Ore. – The South Dakota State men's golf team is in 12^th place after the first two rounds of the Oregon Duck Invitational.

After two weeks off, the Jackrabbits returned to action Monday at the par-71, 7,039-yard Eugene Country Club. SDSU recorded a team score of 311 (+27) in the first round, followed by a 299 (+15) for a 36-hole total of 610 (+43). Host team Oregon leads the 15-team field at four-over 572, while Oregon State is in second with 574 (+6).

James Temple and Matthew Schaefer pace the Jackrabbits tied for 48^th with 36-hole scores of 152 (+10). Temple shot even par to lead SDSU in the first round, while Schaefer carded a two-over 73 in the second round.

Jack Tanner is tied for 52^nd with 80-73—153 (+11), followed by Liam Georgiadis who's tied for 60^th after carding scores of 83 and 73. Will Frazier fired 81's in back-to-back rounds to tie for 79^th.
