Jack Tanner of the South Dakota State men's golf team earned All-Summit League Second Team honors, the league announced Friday morning before the practice round began for the 2021 Summit League Championship at the Sand Creek Station Golf Club.

Tanner, who earned all-league honors for the first time in his career, leads the Jackrabbits with a 73.72 stroke average over 18 rounds this season. The sophomore fired a season-low 4-under 68 in his first round of the season at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. He has recorded seven rounds of par or better.

Tanner has finished inside the top-25 in the last three events he has competed in, including tying for fourth at the Stampede at The Creek. The Glenelg, South Australia native recorded a season-best 54-hole score of 216 (E) at the Hawkeye Invitational where he tied for 19th.

Tanner and the Jackrabbits will compete at the Summit League Championship May 1-3 at Sand Creek Station Golf Club in Newton, Kan.
