Summit League Release

SIOUX FALLS - Ben Olson was dubbed the Summit League's Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week in announcement by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Olson was the individual champion at the SDSU Classic (Sept.10) and led the Jackrabbits to a perfect team sweep of their competition.

Olson outlasted the field at the SDSU Classic by 13 seconds before second place crossed the line. Olson's time was a new personal best of three seconds as he paced his way to sub-25 minute 8K (24:59.74).

This is the first cross country weekly honor Olson has received in his collegiate career thus far.

Olson and the Jackrabbits will travel to Falcon Heights, Minnesota, for the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 24, with races scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
