JACKRABBIT WOMEN PICKED THIRD IN PRESEASON POLL

The women of South Dakota State golf were selected to finish third in the Summit League preseason poll, as released Thursday. Freshman Shakira-Ann Kuys was named to the Summit League's preseason watch list.
Denver was chosen as the League favorite with six first-place votes, followed by Oral Roberts with the three remaining first-placed votes.
The Jackrabbits, who finished second at the Summit League Championship a season ago, return three of the five players from that tournament in Mia Seeman, Lani Potter and Hester Sicking. SDSU lost the Summit League Champion Teresa Toscano to graduation.
Kuys made an immediate impact for the Jackrabbits in fall competition, playing in all nine rounds and recording a season-low 73 three times. She placed third in her first collegiate competition - the Jackrabbit Intercollegiate.
The 2022 Summit League Championship will return to Newton, Kan., for the third time and be played at the Sand Creek Station Golf Club on April 24-26.
