BOULDER CITY, Nev. - South Dakota State women's golf sits in second place at its home Jackrabbit Invite after two rounds at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
Hester Sicking (-2) is in second place to pace the SDSU squad with 18 holes left to play.
The Jackrabbits are 3-over as a team, three shots behind first-place Rutgers and two ahead of Middle Tennessee.
Sicking is 2-under after 18 holes. She shot a 73 (+1) in the first round and then improved by four strokes to card a 69 (-3) in round two.
Mia Seeman is tied for third place at even par following matching 72 (E) rounds.
Shakira-Ann Kuys is +2 and in a tie for 13th place followed by
Lani Potter in 17th at +3.
Piper Stubbs is the final member of the competing team at +6.
Tatum Depuydt is +4 in a tie for 20th place and
Alex Kandolin is +6 in a tie for 29th place. Both are golfing individually.
In total, SDSU carded par on 121 holes, the most of all teams. The Jackrabbit team tallied 26 birdies and one eagle - Seeman. Kandolin also recorded an eagle.Â
The Jackrabbits will play the final round of the tournament Tuesday. The teams will tee off starting a 6 a.m. CT.
