SDSU WOMEN IN FIRST IN OMAHA TOURNAMENT

ELKHORN, Neb. - South Dakota State played the first 36 holes of the Stampede at the Creek tournament hosted by Omaha Monday and sits atop the team standings with one round remaining. Four Jackrabbits are in the top 10, led by Mia Seeman in first place.
Seeman tallied nine birdies and 22 par holes Monday on her way to carding a 140 (-4). She is the only player under par after two rounds. Piper Stubbs and Hester Sicking are tied for fourth place at 147 (+3). Stubbs notched 25 pars and four birdies while Sicking had 23 pars, four birdies and one eagle.
Lani Potter is in 10th at 151 (+7). She had six birdies on the day. Shakira-Ann Kuys rounds out the SDSU team with a +9.
Alex Kandolin is competing individually. She is in 13th place with a 153 (+9) scorecard.Â
SDSU will look to maintain its eight-stroke lead over South Dakota in the last 18 holes of the tournament Tuesday.
