Three members of the South Dakota State women's golf team have earned All-Summit League postseason honors, as announced by the conference office Friday.
Shakira-Ann Kuys,
Lani Potter and
Mia Seeman each landed on the league's second team.
Kuys (Port Augusta, South Australia), a freshman, competed in nine tournaments for the Jackrabbits and averaged 75.5 strokes per round, which ranks third on the team. She started her career with a bang, taking third in her collegiate debut at the Jackrabbit Intercollegiate in September. She fired a season-low 72 in four rounds this year.
Potter (Boulder City, Nev.) led the Jackrabbits with a 74.8 stroke average in her senior campaign. She posted five top-10 finishes this season, highlighted by a runner-up performance at the Jackrabbit Intercollegiate. She tallied her career-low 69 round at the Jackrabbit Invitational. Potter's career scoring average of 77.33 ranks sixth in program history. This is Potter's first all-league honor.
Seeman (Milton, Wis.) ranked second in the SDSU lineup this season with a 75.04 average. The senior capped off the regular season with a first-place finish at the Stampede at the Creek, the first tournament win of her collegiate career. That tournament included her career-low 69 round. She had three top-10 finishes this season and was named Summit League Golfer of the Week once. Seeman ranks second on SDSU's career scoring chart with a 75.98 stroke average. This is the second all-league honor of Seeman's career.
The Jackrabbits will kick off the Summit League Championships Sunday in Newton, Kansas.
