NEWTON, Kan. - South Dakota State women's golf remains in third place after two rounds of the Summit League Championship.
The Jackrabbits posted a 298 (+10) Monday, three shots better than Sunday's round, to bring their total to 599 (+23). Denver leads the tournament with a 577 (+1) and Oral Roberts is in second at 594 (+18).
Piper Stubbs had the best round of the day for SDSU. The freshman recorded an even-par 72 to jump 11 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for fourth place (148, +4). Stubbs had five birdies in round two.
Mia Seeman is tied with Stubbs for fourth place. Seeman was +4 Tuesday, dropping two spots from Sunday's finish.
Lani Potter fired a 75 (+3) to bring her total to 151 (+7). She is in 11th place.
Shakira-Ann Kuys also recorded a 75 and is in 18th (153, +9) while
Hester Sicking is in a tie for 20th (155, +11).
Denver holds the top three spots on the leaderboard. Anna Zanusso is the only player under par with a 137 (-7) scorecard. Anna Cathrine Krekling (E) and Clara Gestsdottir (+2) are in second and third.
The final round is set to begin Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. The Jackrabbits will tee off starting at 9:40 a.m.
