Three members of the South Dakota State women's golf team were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team Tuesday.
Alex Kandolin,
Shakira-Ann Kuys and
Piper Stubbs were among the athletes honored.Â
The WGCA honor is awarded to collegiate golfers who carry a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, one of the most selective academic awards in college athletics. Kandolin, Kuys and Stubbs were three of 16 Summit League golfers recognized and 1,485 nationwide, including all levels of NCAA and NAIA. This is the third award for Kandolin, a rising senior, and the first for Kuys and Stubbs, both rising sophomores.Â
