South Dakota State men's golf coach
Parker Edens has announced the team's schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 season. The Jackrabbits' regular season slate features six events this coming fall followed by five spring tournaments leading into the Summit League Championship and NCAA postseason action.
"I'm really excited for this schedule," said Edens. "I think it's going to end up being one of the most competitive schedules we've had here at South Dakota State. From hosting an event to start the year to starting the spring season with an awesome match play event, I think we will be well prepared to compete for a Summit League Championship come May."
The Jackrabbits kick off the season by hosting the Island Resort Intercollegiate in Harris, Michigan (Sept. 4-5). This is the third season SDSU has hosted the event. The squad will then head to Madison, Wisconsin for the Badger Invitational (Sept. 11-13) and Fort Collins, Colorado for the Ram Masters Invitational (Sept. 19-20).
State opens October with the Big O Classic in Omaha, Nebraska (Oct. 3-4). The Jacks will send select individuals to the University of Sioux Falls Invitational Oct. 10-11 in Larchwood, Iowa. The fall season concludes with the Iowa Fall Classic in Iowa City, Iowa (Oct. 16-17).
The spring campaign starts with the Wyoming World Match Play Championship in Palm Desert, California (Feb. 10-11). The yellow and blue travel to Arizona back-to-back weeks for the Desert Mountain Collegiate in Scottsdale (March 4-5) and the GCU Invitational in Phoenix (March 13-14).
Following a month away from competition, SDSU will play in the Hawkeye Invitational (April 15-16) in Iowa City, Iowa and finish the regular season at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate (April 21-23) in Columbus, Ohio.
The Summit League Championship (April 30-May 2) will take place in Lincoln, Nebraska. The NCAA Regional Championship is played across the country at six host sites May 15-17 and the NCAA National Championship is May 26-31 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
SDSU returns six players and adds four newcomers to the 2022-23 squad.
Jonah Dohrer, a 2022 All-Summit League second team selection, is back for his fifth season with the Jacks.
