ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - The South Dakota State women's golf team is in second place at the Tommie Invite following the first 18 holes Tuesday.
Piper Stubbs is in second place to lead the Jackrabbits.
Only three teams - St. Thomas, South Dakota State and North Dakota - are taking part in the play-six, count-five event. The SDSU squad tallied a 308 (+20) over the first round and is five strokes behind St. Thomas.
Stubbs tallied a 74 (+2) with a pair of birdies Tuesday. She is two shots off the top of the leaderboard.
Alex Kandolin and
McKenzie Mages are tied for sixth place with matching 77 (+5) scorecards.
Reese Jansa is one shot back in ninth place.
Tatum Depuydt rounds out the counters in a tie for 10th place (81, +9).
Shakira-Ann Kuys is in a tie for 15th pace (82, +10).
Molly O'Hara is competing individually. She is tied with Depuydt for 10th place.
The second round of the Tommie Invite will tee off Wednesday morning. The final round will be played Thursday.
