ZGONC EARNS SUMMIT LEAGUE HONOR

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State freshman outside hitter Sylvie Zgonc was named the TicketSmarter Summit League Offensive Peak Performers of the Week, league officials announced on Tuesday.
Zgonc led the league last week with 58 total kills and 4.46 kills per set as the Jackrabbits went 2-1 overall. The Hartford, Wis., native began her week by tallying 26 kills, including 20 kills over the first two sets, in a five-set road loss to South Dakota. She then notched 10 kills along with an assist in a home sweep over St. Thomas. Against Kansas City, Zgonc recorded a double-double of 22 kills and 18 digs to go along with a .370 hitting percentage in a five-set home victory.
This is the first peak performer honor of Zgonc's career.
