BROOKINGS, S.D. - The South Dakota State women's golf program has announced the addition of Anna Hjartardottir to the squad for the 2024-25 season.
Hjartardottir, a native of Saudarkrokur, Iceland, is a four-time club champion (2020-23) and has won nine consecutive North of Ireland championship titles. She has competed twice in the Icelandic championship and was nominated for Iceland's athletic person of the year honor.
Hjartardottir owns the course record on her home course in Iceland.
Hjartardottir is also involved in basketball and other sports. Her brother, Arnar, played golf at Missouri Valley College from 2016-20. Hjartardottir plans to major in psychology at South Dakota State.
