EATONTON, Ga. - The South Dakota State women's golf team completed the opening round of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite Friday at the Great Waters golf course.
Piper Stubbs had the top opening round for the Jacks. She fired a 73 (+1) over the first 18 holes and sits in a tie for fourth place. The sophomore was steady all day, recording a par on all but one hole.
Alex Kandolin carded a 78 (+5) on day one. She collected three birdies on the day and is tied for 30th place.
Shakira-Ann Kuys is next (81, +9), followed by
McKenzie Mages (86, +14) and
Tatum Depuydt (87, +15).
The Jackrabbits are 11th out of 12 in the team standings. They recorded a 318 (+30) in the opening round. Delaware leads the field with a 301 (+13) scorecard.
The tournament resumes with round two on Saturday. The third and final round will be played Sunday.
