LINCOLN, Neb. - The South Dakota State women's golf team is set to compete at the Summit League Championship Sunday through Tuesday at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Course.Â
The Jackrabbit lineup consists of
Piper Stubbs,
Alex Kandolin,
Shakira-Ann Kuys,
McKenzie Mages and
Tatum Depuydt.Â
The Jacks most recently posted their highest finish of the season, taking second place at the Lamar Cardinal Challenge with a 905 (+41) final tally. It was the team's second-best score of the season. SDSU's low-score of the year was at the Spring Jackrabbit Invitational in March - an 899 (+35).
Stubbs was named to the All-Summit League Second Team Friday. She has led the Jacks in six of nine tournaments played this year and averages 76 strokes per round. Stubbs has five top-10 placings, two of which were finishes inside the top five.Â
Kuys, Kandolin and Mages each have two finishes inside the top-10 this season. Kandolin and Kuys both average just under 78 (+6) strokes while Mages and Depuydt average 79 (+7).
The Jackrabbits placed third at last year's championship with four players landing in the top 10.Â
The 2023 tournament tees off with round one on Sunday. Round two is slated for Monday and round three will be played Tuesday.
