STUBBS EARNS ALL-SUMMIT LEAGUE HONORS

South Dakota State's Piper Stubbs has been named to the All-Summit League Women's Golf Second Team, the conference office announced Friday. A vote of the league's nine head coaches determined the teams, which also included three repeat all-league honorees.
Stubbs averaged 76 strokes per round to lead the Jackrabbits squad this season. She has five top-10 placings in nine events played, two of which were finishes inside the top five. The sophomore's best finish of the season came at the Lamar Cardinal Challenge earlier this month, where she tied for second place with a 222 (+6) final tally. Stubbs' best scorecard of the year was a 1-over 217 at the Spring Jackrabbit Invitational in mid-March.
Denver landed five players on one of the two all-conference teams. The full list of all-conference recipients is below.
Stubbs and the rest of the Jackrabbit squad are set to compete at the Summit League Championship Sunday-Tuesday in Lincoln, Nebraska.
