SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — South Dakota State's Carson Noecker takes cross country Peak Performer of the Week, announced by the Summit League Tuesday afternoon.
Noecker is honored with the award for the second-consecutive eligible week. The sophomore was last awarded Peak Performer of the Week on Sept. 24, following a top-10 finish at the Roy Griak Invitational.
Noecker takes the PPOTW award after he won the Jay Dirksen Men's 8K, 21 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher at the SDSU Classic this past Friday. The sophomore's time of 24:11.28 set a new Edgebrook course record, besting the record he had previously set at the Summit League Championships last year when he won the conference meet with a time of 24:17.2.
UP NEXT: The team splits in two as the Jacks attend the Wisconsin Pre Nationals, hosted by the University of Wisconsin, and the Jim Drews Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Oct. 19.
