GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The South Dakota State men's golf team is in 18th place following the second round of the Loyola Intercollegiate Monday. The team is led by
Bryson Mercier, who is tied for 26th place.
Mercier carded an even-par round Monday. His 141 (-3) two-day score has him three shots out of the top-10 players and nine shots off the lead. The sophomore tallied five birdies during the second round and has nine on the tournament.
Ty Kretz is two strokes behind Mercier and tied for 42nd place. He posted a 73 (+1) Monday, bringing his scorecard to a 143 (-1). He also has nine birdies at the tournament.
Luke Honner fired a 70 (-2) in the second round, the best day-two score for the Jackrabbits. Honner's 144 (E) puts him in a tie for 50th place.
Tyler Seeling and
Jonah Dohrer are tied for 101st place (152, +8).
Delaware's Arsit Areephun is 12-under and leads the individual standings. North Dakota State is in first place as a team.
