SILVIS, Ill. - Powered by four players inside the top 10, the South Dakota State women's golf team is in first place by 24 strokes following two rounds at the WIU Intercollegiate Friday.
SDSU has a 24 shot lead over North Dakota, Omaha and Western Illinois, who are tied for second place. The Jacks tallied a team tally under 300 for both rounds, the only team to do so, and finished the day with a 594 (+26) score.
Alex Kandolin and
McKenzie Mages sit first and second, respectively, in the individual standings. Kandolin fired a 145 (70-75, +3) on the day and Mages is one shot back with a 146 (73-73, +4).
Reese Jansa is tied for fourth with a 9-over 151 (78-73).
Shakira-Ann Kuys is one stroke behind her, tied for seventh (77-75, +10).
Piper Stubbs is not far off, tied for 13th place with a 154 (+12).
Molly O'Hara is competing individually. She is tied for 21st place with a 160 (+18).
