BROOKINGS, S.D. - Three South Dakota State women's basketball alumnus recently completed their respective seasons in professional leagues abroad.Â

JENNIE RINTALA (SUNNARBORG)
Jennie Rintala (Sunnarborg) has played 10 years of professional basketball since her graduation from South Dakota State in 2012.Â
Â
Most recently, Rintala competed with the Diamond Valley Eagles in Australia's NBL1 South. With the Eagles this season, Rintala averaged a team-high 7.1 rebounds per contest to go with 10.7 points per game.Â
Â
Rintala has played with six Australian clubs and two European clubs over the course of her professional career. In 2013, Rintala led her team to its first-ever Grand Final appearance and in 2022 was the MVP of the West Adelaide Bearcats, who won the NBL1 Central championship that season.Â
Â
Rintala is a six-time team MVP and two-time All-Star in the NBL1 West. She has played with or competed against a number of the members of Australia's 2024 Paris Olympic squad.Â

MYAH SELLAND
Myah Selland, a 2023 SDSU graduate, played two seasons over the last year in both Spain and Australia.Â
Â
After spending a few weeks in training camp with the Minnesota Lynx, Selland signed a contract with the Baxi Ferrol club in Ferrol, Spain. She played in all 33 games during the 2023-24 season, averaging more than six points per game with the third-best shooting percentage on the team.Â

Following her stint in Spain, Selland signed with the Gold Coast Rollers in Australia's NBL1 North. She averaged 15.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists to earn team MVP honors over the summer. She set professional career highs of 26 points and 17 rebounds with the Rollers.Â

ENA VISO
Ena Viso graduated from South Dakota State in 2017 and recently completed her first professional season in Njardvik, Iceland.Â
Â
Viso was named a team captain in her first season with the club and led the team to the League Finals. She played in all 36 games and averaged 11.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest, all the second-highest marks on the team.Â
