BROOKINGS, S.D. - South Dakota State's 
Brooklyn Meyer was named to the midseason watch list for the Becky Hammon Award Wednesday. The list is made up of 15 of the nation's top players at mid-major schools.
Meyer, a junior, averages 16.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game this year. She shoots .606 from the field, which ranks 14th in the country.
Meyer, the Summit League's preseason player of the year, was also named to the preseason watch list for the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award.
10 semifinalists for the Becky Hammon Award will be announced in February. The five finalists will be announced in early March, with the winner announced around the Final Four.
Meyer and the Jackrabbits are 14-3 on the season and 4-0 in Summit League action. The Jacks host North Dakota Saturday afternoon at First Bank & Trust Arena.
