VERONA, Wis. - The South Dakota State women's golf team finished in 12th place at the Badger Invitational Tuesday at University Ridge Golf Course.
Senior
McKenzie Mages was the top finisher for the Jackrabbits. She tallied a 73 (+1) on Monday, which brought her three-round tally to 221 (+5) and resulted in a t-19th placing on the leaderboard.
Hannah Boraas and
Riko Danjo each tallied +5 rounds on Tuesday. Boraas finished in a tie for 42nd place (+10) while Danjo tied for 54th (+14).
Molly O'Hara tied for 69th place (+21) and
Samantha Stites finished 80th (+35).
Reese Jansa fired a 70 (-2) with six birdies for her final round and was +7 for the tournament. She competed individually and tied for 28th place.
Illinois won the team title. The Illini finished with a 16-under team score. Alexis Myers (Ilinois) edged out Sydney Hackett (Western Kentucky to win medalist honors at -9.
NOTES
- SDSU had 29Â birdies as a team, tied for the ninth most among participating teams.
- McKenzie Mages was even-par on par-4 holes, which ranked in the top 10 among participating players.
