Peterson was a member of the team that qualified for state in cross country both 2018 and 2019...two-time state champion in the 4x800 meter relay collecting the honors in the 2020 indoor season and the 2021 outdoor season...five-time recipient of all-state awards in the 4x800 meter relay including 2019 Indoor & Outdoor, 2020 Indoor and both 2021 Indoor & Outdoor...member of the 4x400 relay squads that were named all-state at the 2021 state meet...both of Peterson's parents attended SDSU while competing on both the cross country and track & field teams.
