Samantha Nelson joined the South Dakota State swimming and diving staff as a volunteer coach in February 2019.
The Minnesota native has been an assistant coach with the Brookings Swim Club for four years and also helped coach the Pool and Yacht team in her hometown of Eagan.
Prior to coaching, Nelson swam varsity at Henry Sibley High School in West St. Paul for four years and was team captain her senior year. She also spent time swimming for the P&Y team.
Nelson is currently in her senior year at SDSU, majoring in Health Education with a Nutrition minor.
