South Dakota State wraps-up a three match homestand this weekend against IPFW on Friday and against Oakland on Saturday at Frost Arena. Friday's match starts at 7 p.m., while Saturday's match starts at 4 p.m., so Jackrabbit volleyball fans can also take in the football game at 6 p.m., when the Jacks battle North Dakota State for the Dakota Marker Trophy.
The Jackrabbits, who sit in a four-way tie for third place in the Summit League standings, look to snap a two-match losing skid, after dropping a non-league match at Drake and a home match to league-leader North Dakota State last week.
Riding an eight-match winning streak against the Bulldogs, the Jackrabbits lost a 3-0 match in Des Moines on Wednesday, marking the Bulldog's first win over SDSU since the 1973 season.
North Dakota State came to Frost Arena on Saturday riding a three-match win streak against the Jacks and a 27-match Summit League win streak and left with both streaks in tact with a 3-1 win.
Fiona Jones led the Jackrabbit offense last week with 24 kills and added 18 digs. She also picked-up her team-high ninth double-double of the season. Ellyce Youngren tallied 18 kills over the two matches and led the team with five block assists. Stacey Wernert led the Jacks with 23 digs, while Nicole Peters and Thyele Rechatiko again split the setting duties.
Next up for the Jackrabbits - SDSU returns to the road on Hobo Week with matches at IUPUI on Friday and at Western Illinois on Saturday.
The Jacks beat the Jaguars 3-1 and the Fighting Leathernecks 3-2 in both first meetings at Frost Arena earlier this season.

Oakland Golden Grizzlies (13-4, 6-3 Summit) - Oakland, who opens the second half of the season at league-leader North Dakota State on Friday, enters the week in sole possession of second place in the league standings after its first trip through the league. Interestingly enough, all three of the Golden Grizzlies league losses came at home and all three by the score of 3-2.
Adrienne Leone leads a fairly well balanced Oakland offense with 286 kills. Meghan Bray ranks second with 172, while Brittany Holbrook and Jenna Lange enter the week with 140 and 128 kills respectively. Brittany Dunn leads the OU defense with 331 digs.
