The South Dakota State volleyball team opens its home schedule and Summit League play this weekend with matches against Centenary and Oral Roberts.
The Jackrabbits and Ladies start on Friday at 7 p.m., the Jacks and Golden Eagles get things started on Saturday at 4:40 p.m.
The Jackrabbits and the Ladies both enter the weekend with just one win, but at 1-7, the Ladies come in with two more losses than the Jackrabbits.
Both teams went winless last weekend, the Ladies 0-4 at the Drake Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa, and the Jacks 0-3 at the Green Bay Classic in Green Bay, Wis.
The lone win of the season for the Jackrabbits came at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, a 3-2 win over Rutgers, while the Ladies downed Arkansas-Pine Bluff in straight sets at the Louisiana Tech Tournament.
The Golden Eagles come to Brookings after opening Summit League play against defending league champion North Dakota State on Friday in Fargo.
Like the Jacks, the Golden Eagles feature just one senior on the 2009 roster, but unlike SDSU, ORU entered the weekend with a winning record, although a loss on Friday at NDSU would put the Golden Eagles at an even 4-4 entering Saturday's match.
