South Dakota State remains on the road to start the week, but returns home for a pair of Summit League matches this weekend.
The Jackrabbits play their first of three matches this week at Creighton on Tuesday, a match that can be seen and/or heard by subscribers to the Jackrabbit Extra on GoJacks.com, and can be heard live on 910 AM with Tyler Merriam doing the play-by-play.
The Jacks then return home to Frost Arena, and to Summit League play, on Friday for a match with Western Illinois and on Saturday against IUPUI. Both the Fighting Leathernecks and Jaguars swept home matches against UMKC and Southern Utah last weekend.
The Jacks dropped a pair of Summit League matches on the road last weekend at Oakland on Friday and at IPFW on Saturday, both without the services of sophomore Kelli Fiegen, who sat out both matches due to injury.
Freshman Kaitlin Klingemann led the Jacks last weekend with 17 kills over the two matches, and did so with a .324 hitting percentage (17-5-37). Ellyce Youngren finished the weekend with 16 kills and a team-high six blocks, while Kelly Herrmann and Fiona Jones both finished with 15 kills.
RABBITS ON THE RADIO - All Jackrabbit volleyball home matches, and select road matches, can be heard on KJJQ 910 A.M. Tuesday's match at Creighton can be heard live on KJJQ and on GoJacks.com.
The pre-game show starts approximately 20 minutes before first serve.

SDSU VOLLEYBALL ON Mediacom - South Dakota State athletics teamed-up with Mediacom to increase its presence throughout the 2009 season. Replays of Jackrabbit home volleyball matches can be seen Monday-Thursday on the Mediacom Connections Channel in South Dakota and Minnesota. Check your local listings for times.
THIS WEEK'S COMPETITION
Creighton Bluejays (3-8, 1-1 Valley) - Creighton enters the match with the Jacks following a 1-1 week in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Bluejays opened the conference schedule at home with a 3-1 win over Bradley on Friday, but fell to Northern Iowa by the same 3-1 score on Saturday.
Allie Oelke leads the Creighton offense with 110 kills, followed closely by Jessica Houts with 102 kills. Houts also leads the Bluejays with 65 total blocks.
The Series vs. Creighton - Series tied 1-1. The Bluejays won the first meeting 3-0 on Oct. 4, 2005 in Omaha, while the Jacks won the second meeting on Sept. 19, 2006 in Frost Arena.
Western Illinois Fighting Leathernecks (5-8, 2-1 Summit) - The newly renamed Fighting Leathernecks picked-up their third straight win on Saturday, a 3-1 home win over UMKC. WIU started the week with a 3-2 win at Bradley on Tuesday, with a 3-0 win over Southern Utah sandwiched in between.
Cait Egan leads the WIU offense with 134 kills and with 35 total blocks. Allison Gilbert adds 128 kills for the Fighting Leathernecks, who hit .166 as a team, and allow the competition to hit .247.
The Series vs. Western Illinois - The Jackrabbits lead the all-time series 3-1 after splitting the season series last year.
IUPUI Jaguars (10-2, 3-0 Summit) - IUPUI, who played its last eight matches at home, swept both of its Summit League matches last weekend against UMKC and Southern Utah to remain undefeated in league play. The only two losses on the Jaguars schedule both came at home in 3-0 sweeps against Northwestern and Ball State.
Kalyse Reinhold leads the IUPUI offense with 141 kills, while Monica Suring enters the week with 108. The Jags reached thier 10-2 record by hitting .203 and by holding their opponents to a .162 hitting percentage.
The Series vs. IUPUI - SDSU leads the all-time series 3-1 after splitting a pair of five set thrillers last season.
