Renewed League Rivalry on Tap
- For the first time since 2011-12, South Dakota State renews its Summit League rivalry with Oral Roberts when the Jackrabbits host the Golden Eagles Thursday at 7 p.m. in the friendly confines of Frost Arena.
- SDSU, which played five of its first seven Summit League games on the road, begins a three-game homestand Thursday. The last time the Jacks played three straight games in Frost Arena was mid-December.
- South Dakota State is 13-7 overall, 4-3 in league play and tied for third in the league standings after winning its sixth road game of the season with a 74-61 win at Western Illinois Jan. 21.
- The Jackrabbits were led by senior Megan Waytashek, who registered game highs of 22 points and 11 rebounds to record her first double-double of the season and fifth of her career. Freshman Macy Miller produced her fifth 20-plus point outing with 20 points vs. the Leathernecks.
- SDSU will be protecting a modest four-game home winning streak and a 2-0 league record in Frost. It last lost at home Dec. 10, 2014.
- Oral Roberts is 10-10 overall, 4-3 in Summit League play and 4-1 in its last five games, after defeating Omaha, 74-53, Jan. 24. The Golden Eagles enter Thursday's game on a modest three-game winning streak and sit tied for third place in The Summit League standings.

- Five reserves has been key to SDSU's success. Freshman Ellie Thompson (5.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg) leads all non-starters in scoring. Senior Rachel Walters (3.5 ppg, 37.9 3FG%) is another three-point threat for the Jacks. Sophomore Clarissa Ober (4.0 ppg, 4.0 rpg) gives the Jacks size in the middle and junior Chloe Cornemann (1.2 ppg) and freshman Alexis Alexander (1.9 ppg, 1.5 apg) are solid guards who add a strong defensive presence.
