WHAT TO WATCH
• South Dakota State advanced to The Summit League Championship semifinals for the fifth time in six championships with a 79-61 win over No. 7 seeded Denver Saturday. Senior Megan Waytashek led three Jacks in double-digits in scoring with a game-high 21 points. SDSU has a six-game winning streak and has won 10 of its last 11 outings.
• The Jackrabbits have won five league championships in the tournament's history. SDSU is 16-1 overall in the tournament.
• The Jackrabbits are 19-3 this season when leading at halftime; 2-5 when tied or trailing; 18-1 when leading with 10 minutes remaining and 17-1 with five minutes left; and 11-0 when holding their opponent to 59-or-fewer points.
• Sophomore forward Chynna Stevens averaged 8.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and shooting over 50 percent from three-point range in league games before being sidelined for all seven February games. In her return to action vs. Denver Saturday, she had two points, three rebounds and a career-high five assists in 12 minutes of play.
• The Jackrabbits suffered injuries to four players, including a starter before league play. SDSU lost senior point guard Gabrielle Boever (knee) prior to the start of the season and senior forward Megan Stuart (knee) in nonconference action Dec. 5. Waytashek missed two games (at South Dakota Jan. 17 and at Denver Feb. 11) due to an illness and an injury.
