After opening the season 3-1, the South Dakota State women's basketball team travels south for Thanksgiving for the Puerto Rico Clasico in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Friday and Saturday at Cardinal Gibbons Arena.

The Jackrabbits open the Clasico Friday at 1:30 p.m. vs. No. 23 NC State and plays Charlotte Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

- SDSU is 4-4 since 2004-05 when playing on Thanksgiving week in six tournaments.
- The Jacks are making their seventh trip south since 2004-05 to play in a nonleague tournament.
- SDSU is 18-12 in regular-season tournaments. The last tournament it played in was the Hawkeye Challenge at Iowa last year. It defeated Montana (84-43) and upset Iowa (66-64). The Jacks won the UNLV Lady Rebel Round-Up in Las Vegas in 2014-15 with victories over Northern Illinois (55-42) and UNLV (65-59).
- Macy Miller scored 20-or-more points in the first two games of the season. She averages 17.3 points per game going into the weekend.
- The Jackrabbits will be challenged in the post against NC State. The Wolfpack has outscored its opponents in the paint by a 178-76 margin. They also are third in the country in blocks with 28 rejections. State is 13th with 22.
