TULSA, Okla. - The South Dakota State track and field team was well represented in Tulsa, Okla. at the Oral Robert Invitational, despite the team being split at three different meets in California and Oklahoma.

There were 13 Jackrabbits boasting 22 event personal-bests at the 2018 Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championship site.

"I think the meet went pretty well - a lot of kids had PR's today," said associate head coach David St. John. "It's a good experience for us to be at the track that will hold the outdoor championships and get the feel of the atmosphere of being here."

Senior Vanessa Lane competed in four events throughout the afternoon, leading the team in two of them (long jump and 100m) while also posting two personal-bests.

100m: 8th (12.33) - PR - Led Team
200m: 14th (25.59)
HJ: 10th (4-09.75)
LJ: 14th (18-01.75) - PR - Led Team

Sophomores Haley Mottinger and Kayla Neff were responsible for the most personal-bests on the team with three each - which was every event they competed in.

Both of them competed in the same events, with Mottinger leading the Jackrabbits in the 100m hurdles.

Sophomore Landon Larson notched his second career top-three finish in the event.

It was the first career 100m dash for freshman Cameron Kuil.

Freshman Chloe Bermel also posted her first career 100m race while it was senior Vanessa Lane's first of the 2018 season.

Lane, along with sophomores Delaney Carlson, Kristin Pistulka, and Jennifer Thill, posted personal-best marks in the event.

Lane beat her previous-best by 0.06 seconds, Carlson by 0.04 seconds, Pistulka by 0.10 seconds, Thill by 0.03 seconds.

Junior Sam Johnson recorded his personal-best mark in the event, beating his previous-best by 0.30 seconds.

Freshman Cameron Kuil posted his first career 200m as a Jackrabbit.

Seven Jackrabbits on the women's side ran personal-best times, while two more ran the outdoor 200m dash for the first time in their careers.

Sophomores Delaney Carlson, Kristin Pistulka, Kayla Neff, Jennifer Thill, Haley Mottinger, Sara Bohan, and Allison Sebern all improved their marks.

Freshmen Madison Grey and Chloe Bermel notched their first outdoor marks in the event.

Senior Vanessa Lane and Sebern posted their first 200m of the outdoor season.

Junior Sam Johnson and senior Jalen Williams record their second 400m dashes of the outdoor season.

Sophomore Allison Sebern posted her second 400m dash of the season, her best time so far in the event.

Freshman Maddison Gay recorded her first attached run as a Jackrabbit. She competed in one event (SDSU Last Chance - 400m) unattached during the indoor season.

Junior Matt Wilson, senior Josh Prohaska and sophomore Daniel Radtke notched season-best marks in the 800m race. It was their second attempt of the season in the event.

Wilson improved his season-best mark by 1.79 seconds, Prohaska by 2.48 seconds, and Radtke by 3.29 seconds. Prohaska was the closest to beating his personal-best, just 0.28 seconds away.

Sophomore Lukas Nelson recorded his first track action during the 2018 campaign. His mark is already the second-fastest mark on the team behind freshman Gabe Peters' mark set last night at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival (3:57.63).

Nelson was 6.34 seconds from his personal-best mark in the event.

Sophomore Daniel Radtke notched his season-best mark, beating his Tulsa Dual time of 4:12.48. He is just 2.67 seconds from beating his career-best time.

Junior Rachel Propst recorded her first mark of the outdoor season.

Sophomore Lukas Nelson gathered his first top-three finish in five career attempts in both indoors and outdoors.

Redshirt freshman Ray Munsterman added a personal-best in the event, which was his first attached outdoor 5,000m race for him. He beat his previous-best mark by 10.15 seconds.

Junior Emily Berzonsky posted her first career top-three finish in the event out of 12 career attempts in both indoors and outdoors.

Junior Rachel Propst ran her first career 5,000m race as a Jackrabbit.

All four Jackrabbits in the women's 100m hurdles posted their personal-best marks.

Sophomore Haley Mottinger beat her personal-best by 0.03 seconds.

It was sophomores Sara Bohan's and Kayla Neff's second career attempt at the event, as well as freshman Kendyl Kreber.

Bohan beat her best by 0.53 seconds, Neff by 1.39 seconds, and Kreber by 0.13 seconds.

Senior Sandra Gramer recorded her season-best time in the 400m hurdles with her second attempt of the season. It was 0.38 seconds better than her previous-best mark.

Senior Vanessa Lane and sophomores Kaya Neff and Haley Mottinger recorded personal-best marks in the event.

Lane improved her mark by 4.00 inches, Neff by 4.75 inches, Mottinger by 10.50 inches.
