First-Round Results

ST. GEORGE, Utah—Junior Jacob Otta shot a one-under par 71 to lead the South Dakota State men's golf team Monday in the opening round of the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational.

The Jackrabbits are tied for seventh, shooting a 304 on the par-72, 6,900-yard Sunbrook Golf Course. Northern Colorado leads the 11-team field, firing a 282.

Otta is tied for eighth along with senior Alejandro Perazzo (71), who is playing as an individual.

Senior Jared Nicolls is tied for 14^th, shooting a 72. Freshman Jonah Dohrer is tied for 50^th (80), sophomore Jones Comerford is tied for 55^th (81) and senior Jaxon Lynn is tied for 59^th (82).

Playing as individuals, freshman Harry Duggan is tied for 41^st (78) and classmate Sam Batta is tied for 61^st (83).
