First-Round Results

PALM DESERT, Calif.—After the opening round of the 12^th-annual Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate Friday, the South Dakota State men's golf team is 18^th.

The Jackrabbits shot a 310 at the par-72, 7,305-yard Classic Club. No. 18 Texas Tech and No. 47 Colorado State are atop the 21-team leaderboard with 2-over par 290s. TCU's David Ravetto and Boise State's Skyler Eubank shot 4-under par 68s to lead the 120-player field.

Jackrabbits Alejandro Perazzo and Jacob Otta are tied for 64^th after shooting 77s. Perazzo collected birdies on the seventh and 12^th holes while Otta had a birdie on the fourth hole and an eagle on the ninth.

Jared Nicolls and Jones Comerford shot 78s and are tied for 78^th. Harry Duggan is tied for 115^th (84).
