Men's Golf Ready for Summit League Championship

A year ago the South Dakota State men's golf team followed up two straight Summit League championships victories with an eighth-place finish. This year they look to come back and take a step in the right direction April 28-30 in Newton, Kan.

The three-day championship will be 54 holes of play at the par-72, 6,030-yard Sand Creek Station Golf Course. Round one will begin Sunday morning with tee times at 8:50.

The Jackrabbits will be going up against Denver, Purdue Fort Wayne, North Dakota State, Oral Roberts, North Dakota, Omaha, South Dakota and Western Illinois.

Jared Nicolls, Jacob Otta, Jones Comerford, Alejandro Perazzo and Jonah Dohrer will make up the lineup.

Nicolls leads the men with a 73.39 stroke average which ranks eighth in the Summit League. Otta ranks second on the team and 12th in the Summit League with an average of 73.79.

The Jackrabbits rank sixth overall in the Summit League with a 299.2 stroke average as a team this season. Live stats are available at Golfstat.com.
