Nicolls Leads After Day One

NEWTON, Kan. – Jared Nicolls of the South Dakota State men's golf team leads the 45-player field after Sunday's round one of the Summit League Championship.

The Jackrabbits shot a 2-over-par 290 at the par-72, 6,931-yard Sand Creek Station Golf Course. The team is tied for first with Oral Roberts among the nine-team field.

Nicolls fired a 4-under par, shooting a 68. The senior tallied four birdies, including three-in-a-row (holes 2-4) on the front-9. The senior shot par on the rest of the 14 holes.

Jacob Otta and Alejandro Perazzo are each tied for seventh at 1-over (73).

Jones Comerford shot a 4-over-par 76 to finish tied for 22nd with a pair of birdies and an eagle on hole 16.

Jonah Dohrer sits at 8-over (80) in a tie for 36th.
