Casey VanDamme announced the addition of
James Temple to the men's golf team Friday afternoon.
"We are happy James has decided to become a Jackrabbit! James is a great athlete that has taken to college golf very well," VanDamme said. "We look forward to working with him this semester and him being able to play for us next fall."

Temple, a transfer from Western New Mexico, is enrolled at SDSU for the 2020 spring semester and will be eligible to play during the 2020-21 season.
The Malahide, Ireland native held a 74.4 stroke average during his freshman campaign at Western New Mexico. He finished first at The Cactus Thaw and was named to the All-Lone Star Conference second team. Temple was also a Dean's List honoree for both the 2019 spring and fall semesters.Â
During the 2019 fall season, Temple registered a 72.7 scoring average on a nine rounds.Â

Prior to his collegiate career he was the 2016 Irish Senior Schools Individual Champion and tied for 20
th at the 2017 Irish Boys Championship.

The SDSU men's golf team returns to action Feb. 21-23 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
