Teresa Toscano finished in the top 64 after two rounds of stroke play Wednesday to advance to the match-play portion of the 120
th U.S. Women's Amateur.

"Teresa did a good job grinding out the round today," said assistant coach
Maggie Murphy. "We are excited and ready to go for match play."

Toscano was tied for 24
th at 1-over par 73 at the conclusion of the initial round on Monday. After Hurricane Isaias brought 2.64 inches of rain to the 6,553-yard, par-72 Woodmont Country Club, the second round of stroke play was postponed until Wednesday.

The senior carded a 3-over 75 in the second round to finish stroke play with a 148 (+4) total. Toscano finished above the cut line, tied for 36
th in the 132-player field.

While Toscano secured her spot, the fate wasn't the same for 15 players that tied for 59
th as a playoff decided the six remaining spots.

Toscano will begin match play on Thursday with a 2 p.m. CT tee time as she faces Sadie Englemann, a soon-to-be freshman at Stanford. Englemann finished stroke play tied for 18
th at 2-over 146.
