MONTGOMERY, Texas - The South Dakota State men's golf team sits in fourth place after one day of competition at the Bentwater Intercollegiate.
RESULTS
The Jacks are +5 as a team and are in a tie for fourth, only five strokes behind Texas State, who leads the field.
SDSU was paced by Jack Taner on day one. He tallied four birdies to finish 2-under and is in a tie for second place, only one shot off the leader.
Noah Boraas was the next best Jackrabbit. He is +1 after 18 holes and in a tie for 18th place.
Matthew Schaefer and
Liam Georgiadis were both one shot behind Boraas and are tied for 33rd.
Jonah Dohrer rounds out the Jacks at +4 and is in 41st.
NOTES
SDSU was the best team on par-4 holes Monday, averaging 3.96 strokes and going -2 as a team on those holes
