SELLAND NAMED ON WOODEN, NAISMITH WATCH LISTS

South Dakota State's Myah Selland is listed on the Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy preseason watch lists, both of which were released Tuesday.
Selland is one of 50 watch list candidates on both lists. She was also named to the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year watch list and the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year watch list earlier this year. Selland was tabbed as the Summit League's Preseason Player of the Year.
Selland led the Summit last season with 19.2 points per game and ranked third in assists per game (3.8), field goal percentage (.515) and assist/turnover ratio (1/5) on her way to WBCA Honorable Mention All-America accolades. She scored 15-plus points in 19 games and 20-plus points on six occasions. She was a finalist for the Becky Hammon Award in 2020-21.
The Jackrabbits are receiving votes in the Associated Press preseason poll and will open the season against Green Bay Tuesday night at Frost Arena.
