South Dakota State hosts Kansas State Saturday afternoon at Frost Arena for its second of three straight games at home.

The Jackrabbits are 3-6 on the season after falling to Missouri State 55-52 Monday night. Paige Meyer and Tylee Irwin pace the Jackrabbits with 10.8 and 10.1 PPG, respectively. Paiton Burckhard chips in 8.7 points to go with a team-high 5.2 rebounds. Meyer gives out 3.7 assists per game.

Kansas State is 8-2 on the year with its only losses coming NC State and South Carolina, both top-5 teams. The Wildcats most recently beat Omaha 87-56 Wednesday night in Omaha. The Wildcats are led by 22.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game from Ayoka Lee. The junior reached the 1,000-point mark for her career in November and ranks in the top-30 on K-State's career scoring chart.

Eight different Jackrabbits have been the team's leading scorer through nine games - Paige Meyer leads the way with three games as the Jacks' leader.
Paiton Burckhard is the Jackrabbits' top rebounder with 5.2 per game and is the third highest scorer at 8.7 per contest. She scored 11 points and had six rebounds against Missouri State.
Kallie Theisen posted her first career double-double against Missouri State with 11 points and 11 rebounds to go with four blocks.
Paige Meyer is one of four freshmen in NCAA DI averaging at least 10.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest. She leads the team in points and assists.
Myah Selland made her first appearances of the season against UMass and UCLA at the Gulf Coast Showcase. The 2021 Summit League Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-American averaged 7.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 16 minutes per game in Florida.
State was picked to finish second in the 2021-22 Summit League Preseason Poll, splitting the first-place votes with South Dakota (20-18). Burckhard, Irwin and Selland were named to the Preseason All-Summit League team.
Selland was tabbed as the Summit League Preseason Player of the Year and was recently named to the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year, Cheryl Miller Small Forward Award Naismith and Wooden Award watch lists.
