The South Dakota State women's golf team remains on the road this week as it competes at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational Thursday-Friday.

The 54-hole event will be played at the Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah that is par 72 and 5,914 yards. The 15-team field will golf 36 holes the first day and 18 on the final day with a 10 a.m CT/9 a.m. MT shotgun start.

In addition to host school, Southern Utah, South Dakota State will compete against California Baptist, Cal State Bakersfield, Dixie State, Eastern Washington, Idaho State, Illinois State, Montana, North Dakota State, Oral Roberts, Seattle, Utah Valley, Weber State, Wyoming.

SDSU recently won the Jackrabbit Invitational for the second year in a row with a three-round total of 897 (+33).

Teresa Toscano won the event with a two-over-par 218. Cassidy Laidlaw finished second with 220 (+4), while Alex Kandolin tied for sixth with 228 (+12) as an individual.
