STILLWATER, Okla,—
Leah Hansen turned in a career-best 21:40.6 6K time over the rolling hills of the Oklahoma State Cross Country Course at Monday's 2020 NCAA Cross Country Championships.

Hansen's mark comes as a five second improvement from her winning time of 21:45.6 from the Summit League Cross Country Championships on March 5 where she punched her ticket to Stillwater and lead the Jacks to their first conference title since 2008.
The sophomore and Willmar, Minn. native took second in the 3K (9:34.53) and 5K (16:32.35) at Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 27 and 28, then followed with a PR in the 6K a week later— only to slash that time by five seconds on the national stage Monday.
Hansen finished 120th in the field of 256, and her finish stands as the seventh-best by any Summit League athlete in NCAA Cross Country Championships history.
