For the second time in three weeks, South Dakota State's Leah Hansen has been selected as the TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday.

A sophomore from Willmar, Minnesota, Hansen was the top Summit League finisher at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 24 with a 15^th-place showing. She covered the 6,000-meter course at Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, in a time of 21 minutes and 31.2 seconds to lead the Jackrabbits to a 10^th-place finish in the team standings.

The defending Summit League individual champion, Hansen also received the weekly honor after winning the title at the SDSU Classic on Sept. 10.

Next action for the Jackrabbit women's cross country team is Friday at the Chargers Invite hosted by Briar Cliff University. Start time is 3 p.m. at the Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve in North Sioux City, South Dakota.
