The men of Jackrabbit golf were selected to finish in a tie for fourth in the Summit League men's golf preseason poll, as released Thursday.
Jack Tanner was named to the Summit League's preseason watch list.
Denver was chosen as the League favorite with nine first-place votes. The Jackrabbits tallied 57 total points in the poll to tie with Kansas City, who received one first-place vote. SDSU and KC were just behind third-place Oral Roberts' 58 points.
The Jackrabbits finished fifth at the 2021 Summit League Championship. Tanner and
Liam Georgiadis finished tied for seventh at the event with Tanner being named second-team all-league.
Tanner holds a career scoring average of 74 and a single-round best of 68. In 2020-21, Tanner played 21 rounds and carded a 73.7 scoring average for the season. He finished the fall season with a tie for third place at the Bentwater Intercollegiate with a 54-hole score of 211 (-2).
Kuys made an immediate impact for the Jackrabbits in fall competition, playing in all nine rounds and recording a season-low 73 three times. She placed third in her first collegiate competition - the Jackrabbit Intercollegiate.
The 2022 Summit League Championship will return to Newton, Kan., for the third time and be played at the Sand Creek Station Golf Club on May 1-3.
