SELLAND NAMED TO COSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM

South Dakota State's Myah Selland has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team for the second time in her career.
Selland holds a 3.97 cumulative grade point average with majors in exercise science and community and public health. She was a Second-Team CoSIDA Academic All-American last season and will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot for 2022.
In addition to her excellence in the classroom, Selland is involved in a number of SDSU and Brookings organizations, including the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, Brookings County Youth Mentoring and the Diversity & Inclusion in Athletics Council.
Selland also leads the Jackrabbits on the court, scoring 12.4 points per game to go with 4.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists, on average. She was tabbed as the Summit League's Preseason Player of the Year for this season.
Selland is one of five athletes selected to the District 6 Team. She is joined by Naomi Alnatas (Kansas City), Caitlin Clark (Iowa), Lexi Donarski (Iowa State) and Chloe Lamb (South Dakota).
First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late mid-March.
The 2020-21 Academic All-District and All-America programs recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The Academic All-District 6 Team is made up of student-athletes from institutions in Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Candidates must be at least a sophomore in athletic and academic standing, a starter or key reserve on her team and carry at least a 3.3 GPA.
