In addition to Boston, six more student-athletes join Selland as a repeat selection on the Academic All-America® Division I team. Vivian Gray of Texas Tech University earns her third Academic All-America® honor after being a first team selection last season and a third team pick the year before. Other repeat selections from 2020-21 include - Conley Chinn (Belmont University), Lexie Hull (Stanford University), Ayoka Lee (Kansas State University), Dariauna Lewis (Alabama A&M University) and Sam Thomas (University of Arizona).
The 2021-22 Academic All-America programs recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be considered for Academic All-America honors, nominees must be at least a sophomore in athletic and academic standing, carry at least a 3.3 grade-point average and be a starter or key reserve. The process starts at the district level, with first-team selections advancing to the national ballot.Â
