KRETZ NAMED GOLFER OF THE WEEK

South Dakota State golf's Ty Kretz was named the TicketSmarter Summit League Golfer of the Week Thursday by the league office. Kretz shared the award with Oral Roberts' Lane Wallace.Â
Kretz overcame a five-stroke deficit entering the final round to win his first collegiate tournament at -4 (212). His 54-hole score was a new season low and his closing 68 (-4) matched his low single round of the season. He made five birdies and just one bogey on his final loop around the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
This is the first Summit League honor of Kretz's career.
