MADISON, Wis. - The South Dakota State men's golf team is in seventh place following the opening 18 holes of the Badger Invitational.
Luke Honner fired a 4-under 68 during Monday's round and is tied for third place at University Ridge Golf Course.
Honner rolled in three birdies and an eagle on the day. He was followed by
Ty Kretz and
Bryson Mercier, who each recorded an even-par. Kretz was very steady with a single birdie and only one bogey over 18 holes. The duo is tied for 28th place.
Lucas Schaefbauer rounds out the scorers from Monday's round. He tallied a 74 (+2) and is tied for 49th.
Tucker D'Allaird is tied for 69th place (77, +5).
The SDSU team carded a 286 (-2) and sits 12 shots off first-place FGCU. FGCU's Austin Cherichella is 7-under to sit atop the individual leaderboard.Â
Tyler Seeling is competing in the Badger Individual at the nearby TPC Wisconsin Golf Course. He is in fourth place after two rounds with a 144 (+2) scorecard.
