COLUMBUS, Ohio - The South Dakota State men's golf team sits in eighth place following the first day of action at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate hosted by Ohio State.
Play was suspended in the middle of round two and will resume when weather allows Saturday.
SDSU is currently 19-over as a team through 12 holes of round two. The Jacks were in ninth place after 18 holes and moved up one spot with their play in the second lap.
The Jacks posted a 299 (+15) team score in the first round.
Matthew Schaefer,
Jonah Dohrer and
Luke Honner were tied for 29th after 18 holes with a 74 (+2).
So far in round two, Honner and Schaefer are 1-over on the round and have moved into 25th place. Dohrer +2 in round two and is in 31st place.
Ty Kretz is even in the round and moved up 17 spots into a tie for 40th place.
Noah Boraas is in a tie for 76th place.
Action is set to resume when weather allows Saturday. The tournament will finish Sunday.
